2019-2020 College Football Playoff, New Year’s Six Bowl Ties, Affiliations

– The top four teams ranked by the College Football Playoff selection committee will be slotted in the semifinals: Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and PlayStation Fiesta Bowl, both on December 28th, 2019.

– The two winners to play in the College Football Playoff National Championship in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 13th, 2020.

– The highest-ranked conference champion from the American Athletic, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West and Sun Belt will automatically get one spot in either the College Football Playoff, Capital One Orange Bowl, or the GoodYear Cotton Bowl.

– The Rose Bowl will be the Big Ten vs. Pac-12 no matter what. The champion of each league goes here if not in the College Football Playoff.

– The Sugar Bowl will be the SEC vs. Big 12 no matter what. The champion of each league goes here if not in the College Football Playoff.

– The ACC champion goes to the Capital One Orange Bowl unless it’s in the College Football Playoff, in which case the next-highest ranked ACC team will get in against the highest-ranked available Big Ten or SEC team, or Notre Dame.
