Apr 12, 2008  why does my computer lag on flash games? I tried to play the n game but it lagged on the website so i downloaded it but it still lags. I know it's not my computer because it can run WOW on its highest settings without lagging so why does this simple 2-D game make it lag. Nov 28, 2016 A speedy and reliable internet connection is one of the very basic requirements for playing games online, and this is why it is crucial to have an internet connection that supports your gaming needs. If you have thought that your current 1MBPS or 2MBPS connection will allow you to fix Lag in Steam games, you are completely mistaken. Oct 04, 2009  At first the my mac was running very smoothly on games and everything. Then it slowly started to run less smooth and games started crashing. Now I can't even play little online games like on mini-clip or other game sites without it lagging, with NOTHING else. On my weaker dual-core Pentium D computer, using task manager, I noticed that for my performance-intensive megaman project the CPU usage would go from 0-10% (that's with me idling on my comp with Scratch open and some background programs) to a steady 50 - 60% with the project actively running with occasional spikes synonomous with lag.

I own a low end PC and being a fan of gaming, Flash games seem to be my only choice.

Anyways, I experience a lot of lags and performance issues while playing them. They run nicely on my friend’s computer (heavy specs).

I was under the impression that online flash games aren’t very dependent upon the user’s hardware as they are supposed to be playable from any PC that has a flash player.

  1. You can also try using CCleaner or Glary Utilities to clean up flashplayer and shockwave clutter, use it at least once a day to help out. Try getting Game Booster from IOBit to automatically turn off services and features for you to get a little better performance. With an older processor with an older graphics adapter, flash and shockwave items will be slower.

Here is a guide you can use to see if you can push a little bit more performance by disabling unnecessary services: http://www.blackviper.com/service-configurations/black-vipers-windows-xp-x86-32-bit-service-pack-3-service-configurations/. Good luck!

  2. Well, Flash games can run heavy on the hardware depending on what is going on within the game.

Free multiplayer games mac. The most noticeable is the player vs. As the name suggests, you will fight against another team while hordes of zombies attack everyone. There are another four classic modes available. You can find or unlock new weapons as you progress, just like in any other shooter game.offers you also some charming multiplayer modes. In World War Z Mac OS X, you can see 1000 zombies simultaneously, which is an excellent work of technology.

In most cases Flash doesn't run hardware accelerated. That means all calculation including the graphics is done by your CPU. If your CPU is weak and the game has a lot of 'action' going on it sure can result in lags ~ especially if you run in full screen. Old mac game cannon fodder system.

From the few benchmarks out there it also seems that Flash performs best in Firefox and Opera. Using one of those browser for Flash games might help.

It is also a good idea to separate flash from regular browsing e.g. using different browsers or simply just do one or the other (by closing all other browser tabs).

  3. Like the others said: make sure your drivers are up-to-date.

Also make sure that your java and your flash player is also up-to-date!

If possible then upgrade your computer or buy a new on! :)

  4. Hello, lags do not necessary have something to do with the computer itself. They can be caused by a slow internet speed. Make sure to clean cache in your browser and then restart it. See if that makes a difference.

Make sure that all your drivers are up to date and also it is very important that if you are playing games online, do not have any other browser windows open. What kind of performance issues are you getting?

    • Hey Fidelis, thanks for the reply.

Heavy flash games like those on Kongragate or games like burrito bison revenge usually become slow on certain instances while playing. Another example, while playing pool on Omgpop, the break, usually slows for a split second.

I am pretty sure that the drivers are up-to-date and I have the latest flash player installed.

      • Hello, have you made sure to also update shockwave player? Sometimes it makes a difference.

  5. uninstall adobe flash player and shockwave player, then clean your windows with CCleaner, or Glary utilities or other registry cleaner if you have, then reinstall.

if the same problem then try
    – go to youtube and open a video to play
    – right click on player
    – click on settings
    – uncheck hardware acceleration
    – restart your browser and try playing the video again

    • I don't recommend cleaning the registry. I've run into so many issues with cleaning out the registry. Which is why I don't do it anymore. However, make sure it's completely up to date, along with drivers.
